Journaling with your Heavenly Father

What does your quiet time look like now? Let's pretend we are in a coffee shop and you are explaining it to me. Now it's my turn to share a glimpse into my quiet time with PaPa (the One True God).

I have my Bible, journal or prayer journal, favorite colored pens and colored pencils, and a few highlighters available, too. I have my favorite quiet time tools stored in the cutest basket (a great purchase at Walmart) and keep them on my kitchen counter. I've discovered that easy access has made life so fun for me.

Next, I get cozy on our couch or go outside and sit in our backyard. I love to close my eyes and thank my PaPa for the beautiful day and for a list of other blessings He has given me in the past 24 hours. For me, starting my time with Him with praises is perfect! He is such an AMAZING Father! I'm sure you agree with me.

My quiet times look different daily from this point on, to be completely honest with you. It depends on many factors, but I'll share more as we move forward. If I'm inside, I love to kick off my shoes as I dance and sing for Him. Sometimes I begin by asking the Holy Spirit to check both my mind and heart. I invite Him to search for all of my sins. I want to confess my sins to Him and repent. If I'm outside, I love to close my eyes and listen to the birds as they sing their own praises to Him! Next, I begin calling out all of His beauty in nature.
